   Mechanical refrigeration cycle

As we know, if the liquid is given heat, it turns into vapour and if the heat is removed from the vapour, it turns into liquid. In MRC system the liquid refrigerant changes from the liquid to vapour by absorbing heat of confined space and the same vapour again changes from vapour to liquid by giving it's heat to surrounding. In MRC system circulate the refrigerant whose boiling point and freezing point is very low. There are 4 major parts,

1) compressor                   2) condenser

3) metering device           4) evaporator .

Apart from these, there are 3 helping device,

1) liquid receiver              2) filter drier

3) accumulator.

1) COMPRESSOR:

The compressor is considered heart of  the system.                                                  It performs 3 important functions in the system.                                                  It suck the low pressure low temperature  vapour through the suction line and compress it mechanically and convert the high pressure high temperature.                   It circulate the refrigerant through the system.                                                          It divides the system into 2 parts.            It is connected to the evaporator via a  suction line and from the condenser to  the condenser to the discharge line.

2) CONDENSER:                                       The high pressure high temperature      vapour refrigerant that is compressed  from the compressor enters the condenser.                                               As soon as it enters the condenser, the  vapour refrigerant gives its heat to the surrounding and the high pressure high temperature vapour refrigerant changes from vapour to liquid as it reaches the outlet of the condenser.        And this liquid refrigerant goes to the  metering device.

3) METERING DEVICE:                            The high pressure high temperature      liquid refrigerant comes from the condenser and enters into metering device  There is a very tiny hole which is called orifice.                                     The high pressure high temperature liquid refrigerant passed through the orifice and change into low pressure low temperature liquid refrigerant due to friction.                                             And then this liquid refrigerant enters into evaporator.

4) EVAPORATOR:                                      The gas coming from the metering device goes to the high pressure high temp liquid refrigerant evaporator.      As soon as it enters the evaporator, the low pressure low temperature liquid refrigerant starts absorbing the heat of confined space.                                      The temperature of confined space starts decreasing or the liquid refrigerant changes into vapour refrigerant.                                              By the time it reaches the outlet of the  evaporator, the refrigerant completely  changes into vapour.                                And then it goes back to the compressor with the help of suction and this cycle goes on again and again which we called MRC (Mechanical refrigeration cycle).
